The passage of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act represents a critical step forward in addressing America’s affordable housing challenges.

As a nonprofit dedicated to preserving affordable housing and strengthening communities, Trinity Development Alliance (TDA) acknowledges the importance of policies that support housing production, preservation, program modernization, and investment in rural communities.TDA is particularly interested in provisions related to affordable housing preservation, rural housing, housing supply, and modernization of federal housing programs.

Across the United States, housing providers are facing aging affordable housing inventories, rising development and operating costs, and increasing demand from families, seniors, individuals and communities seeking safe, stable, and affordable homes.

These challenges are particularly pronounced in rural and underserved communities where housing options are often limited.

The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act includes provisions intended to increase housing supply, improve access to housing resources, modernize existing programs, and provide additional tools to support housing development and preservation efforts. While implementation will ultimately determine its impact, the legislation reflects growing bipartisan recognition that housing affordability remains one of the nation’s most pressing issues and priorities.

At TDA, our mission is rooted in preserving affordable housing opportunities while connecting residents with resources that support long-term stability and success. We look forward to working alongside housing partners, public agencies, investors, and community organizations to help translate policy into meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve.
