Happy May!

Did you know there are two important awareness events that fall in the month of May?

May is Older Americans Month and it was established in 1963. The month-long recognition and awareness event initially honored older Americans’ contributions to the country. Over time, the month was expanded to honor and celebrate all older Americans in our communities. Each year had a particular theme and featured activities, resources, and special events. The 2023 theme, “Aging Unbound,” offers an opportunity to explore diverse aging experiences and discuss how communities can combat stereotypes. Learn more here.
